Mt. Moiwa, 531m above sea level, is called "Inkarushibe"
in the Ainu language, which means "the place to always climb up to look around".
Designated as a National Natural Monument, the virgin forests are a treasure trove
of wildlife and vary greatly with seasonal changes.
From the Summit Observation Platform, the city of Sapporo, the magnificent Ishikari
Plain and Ishikari Bay spread out below and a superb view of the majestic mountains
in the distance can be seen. Moreover, like the shining of jewels, as the sun
sinks a romantic transformation occurs where for a brief intoxicating time the
world glitters.
A magnificent moment awaits you. You'll be deeply impressed.
