The Mt. Moiwa tourist facilities, including the Mt. Moiwa Ropeway, were closed from April 2010 for renovation. These facilities will be re-opened on December 23, 2011.

T he main themes of these renovated facilities are “environmental conservation” and “accessibility .” A new type of ropeway has been introduced, the deteriorated station building and Mt. Moiwa Viewing Point have been fully reconstructed, and the Morris Car (mini cable car) and Nature Footpath have been newly established. Elevators have also been installed in all buildings to make them accessible to everyone .

The new Mt. Moiwa Ropeway facilities have been reborn as even more appealing facilities that are easy for anyone to use and where visitors can enjoy the abundant natural world.
